Notes: Okay, so I didn't go to sleep, and apparently I don't plan to... ever... Midterms fucked up my sleeping pattern. Anyway, so since I couldn't sleep, I typed this up. And another one. And a third story for a slash fandom unrelated to this one. And started working on a fourth story... a busy night for me... Also, read a story called Twinkle Twinkle. It's by a Japanese author. I feel like the way I wrote this is similar to the ending of that. It was unintentional, plus not quite the same. What I mean is the feeling of the ending is the same (not that it's word for word what happens). Point: Read Japanese literature. Some of it's good. This scene is not going to be in the final draft of the novel, unfortunately. It just wouldn't work out the way I want it to work out with this scene, so I had to cut it from the novel. However, I thought it would still be a lovely teaser for the novel. The title for this piece comes from the title of the first book in the "Children of the Red King" series by Jenny Nimmo, Midnight for Charlie Bone. I have no idea why, except that it sounded good.
